INSOMNIAC PHOTOGRAPHY

Solon Quinn August 10, 2015

I'm convinced that a certain number of people in this world (me being one of them) were born to live in the night.  I always feel as though my days consist of remedial tasks, errand running, phone calls and planning.  For me, with the night comes an entirely different world.  My body and soul come alive,  my mind works faster, my thoughts delve deeper and most importantly my creative side flourishes.  Something I greatly look forward to is "photo hunting" after midnight.  This consists of driving around the city searching for photographic opportunities.  Being able to put down my windows, clear my mind, and just exist is a truly amazing experience, every time.  So if you see a guy driving around in Syracuse, aimlessly looking around after midnight, rocking a Toyota Tundra with a camera in hand, don't be afraid, it's just a crazy adventurer, appreciating life.

PS If you'd like to see my insomniac photos, they are listed under the "series" section under "insomnia".
